Our collaboration with Chloe Nörgaard really began with the idea of self-expression. Chloe’s ability to express herself in unique and interesting ways has inspired so many, and we thought we’d sort of bottle up that same sense of individuality into the collection. Her tattoos are super special and dear to her heart, so it was a no-brainer to splash them all over the designs to create these 4 statement pieces.

The pictorial was shot on the streets of Los Angeles by photographer, Amber Canterbury, in the Echo Park area where this kind of youthful individuality defines the community culture. We wanted to feature Photogenics kids that embody what it is to just BE: Nico Geyer, a guitarist and music student at The New School in NY, and Ally Durham, an Orange County girl who had enough guile to shave her head at 17.

Words from the designer:

“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.” (RWE)
