My name is Blake Hilton and I am an interdisciplinary artist based in Los Angeles and originally from Seattle, Washington. I got my start in the arts when I was mistakenly placed into a beginner painting class in high school from which I could not switch out. I went on to get my BFA in Studio Art with a minor in Production Design from Chapman University. While at school I grew from a painter into a performance artist, sculptor, ceramicist, and set designer. I fell completely head over heels in love with tactile activities and creating things.

BLAKE HILTON

Post-grad I began to work in LA as a freelance set designer on narrative projects as well as a prop stylist on commercial shoots. I work with photographers and models all the time, but never fully envisioned myself as one. It wasn’t until a few back to back shoots where the respective photographers told me I should be a model, that I actually considered sending in my photos. When I’m not working, you can usually find me hiking, doing pilates, rock climbing, swimming, trying new recipes, making ceramics, or in a respirator melting metal in my room.
