I’m a multi-faceted individual whose journey from Uganda to America as a refugee from South Sudan has shaped my passion for speaking about immigration and community work. Alongside sharing my experiences, I indulge in hobbies like crocheting, biking, swimming, and cooking, driven by my love for exploration and food.I come from a large family of 13 siblings and grew up in Texas, where I discovered my love for music in choir. I even used to have perfect pitch!

I’m actively involved in a collective that celebrates first-generation Africans and the diaspora called Open.housenyc. In my free time, I express my creativity through fashion, makeup, and skincare, constantly honing my artistic skills. As a Libra, I believe in my ability to navigate any challenge with grace and balance. My affinity for the water, influenced by my astrological placements, draws me to the tranquility of large bodies of water.Dedicated to community service, I volunteer at a food bank/pantry in my Bed-Stuy neighborhood and bring joy and connection to my weekends through my part-time job as a bartender. Here, I combine my passions for food, mixology, and dance to create memorable experiences for others. Additionally, I enjoy the freedom of driving as another favorite pastime. Road trips and the perfect playlist bring me the most joy!
