I always say I feel like I’ve lived so many lives. I’m a Mexican-American LA native who is a retired collegiate volleyball player, cancer survivor, model, and mom with a degree in sonography. I started playing volleyball at a young age along with lots of other sports and activities to keep me busy. My volleyball career was unexpectedly cut short when I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. I like to think of it as a blessing in disguise because I was scouted to model when I was completely bald! Fast forward a few years and I now have a degree and am a mom to a beautiful baby girl.

MIREYA ROJO

These days, I keep active by playing beach or indoor volleyball, taking on an occasional yoga or Pilates class and have been playing pickleball regularly. I’m happiest on the beach with my little family of 4 (mom, dad, baby & pup) or spending a night in listening to my many records that I love collecting. And if you were wondering, I am now 5 years in remission, happy, healthy and ready to continue taking on all of life’s surprises.
