I was born in manhattan but grew up in Palos Verdes. I love jazz and art. I studied music at the Clive Davis Institute of recorded music at NYU Tisch before I got more into fashion. My grandma low-key put me onto what would become my heaviest influences (ie. Audrey Hepburn; specifically in Sabrina, Breakfast at Tiffanys and Funny Face). My grandma and I liked watching old movies together and I really got into music & fashion that way.

ZOE COUNCIL

My mom did an incredible job of exposing my sisters and I to art, taking us out on the weekends to museums, markets, concerts, etc. I used to binge videos from NYLON magazine & sort of got into trend forecasting/developing my own style by lurking through paparazzi photos on People.com during journalism class in middle and high school. I saved photos from torn out magazine spreads, online and honestly my mom. Her nonchalant chicness and unapologetic quirky approach to putting classic pieces together but dumbing them down for a more unassuming boldness was major for me.
